High school students will be immersed in a week-long resident academy at the beautiful and historic Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station. Students will experience science alongside local environmental professionals and university researchers.
Field trips and activities include: kayaking the Upper Delaware River, completing a ropes course, collecting water samples from a boat on Lake Wallenpaupack, fishing, assisting with research, touring a farm campfires and more.
The Academy is for students ages 13-16.
Cost is $200 per student but scholarships are available for Wayne/Pike County Students.
