
Environmental Education Grant
The 2025 application period is now open!
The Pike County Conservation District Board of Directors are again offering a $500 Environmental Education Project grant for Pike County teacher/classrooms or youth organizations to fund projects that complement the mission of the District:
Pike County Conservation District is committed to the long-term protection and sustainable use of Pike County’s natural resources. We accomplish this through partnership, education, technical assistance, planning, enforcement, and leadership.
Since 2005, this program has awarded $12,500 to all three School Districts in Pike County for a variety of projects.
These projects have included a native plant hydroponics system, a composting program, natural pest control research, several native plant gardens, and more!
Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2025.

Wetlands provide habitat for wildlife, filter water, and can act like a sponge to limit flooding.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Protect wetlands by not damaging the flow of water. This can mean not placing soil or fill in wetlands and not digging in them to redirect water.
