Madelyn Garcia – Watershed Specialist
Madelyn grew up in New York with limited access to green spaces, but it was during her college field courses that she discovered her passion for making nature more accessible and inclusive. She earned both her B.S. in Environmental Science and M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Pace University, where she explored how science, policy, and storytelling can drive conservation.
Her work has spanned nonprofits like Defenders of Wildlife and The YEARS Project, protecting the Delaware River with the NPS, advocating for ocean policy in D.C. through the Azul Rising Leaders Fellowship, and serving on the PA DCNR NextGen Advisory Council. Now based in Dingmans Ferry, Madelyn is reconnecting with her love for the outdoors and helping others feel a sense of belonging in nature. In her free time, she enjoys working out (running and kayaking included), digitally drawing, and collecting pinned insects!

Jason Pollits – Resource Conservationist
Jason is a recent graduate from Penn State University with a degree in Environmental Resource Management. He is looking forward to working with the community to conserve and protect the natural resources of Pike County. Outside of work, Jason enjoys any hobby that gets him outside, such as hiking and skiing.
Welcome Madelyn and Jason!
