ACAP Meetings

Local Advisory Committee

A small farm river surrounded by a few trees and plenty of green grass.
Welcome to the Local Advisory Committee (LAC) meeting page for the Pike County Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP).
The Local Advisory Committee (LAC) has a standing meeting from 8:30 am to 9:00 am prior to the monthly District Board meeting. Each month the committee evaluates whether there is business to consider, and the meeting is held only if agenda items require review.
Here you can access current and past meeting agendas to stay informed about committee actions, decisions, and discussions that support the District’s conservation mission. All meetings are open to the public, and providing these materials promotes transparency, accountability, and community engagement in our governance process.
The LAC serves as a community-based advisory body that reviews and prioritizes local ACAP grant applications and provides guidance on regional conservation priorities. Comprised of local stakeholders with expertise relevant to the program, the committee helps ensure that agricultural conservation projects funded through ACAP align with local needs and best management practices before recommendations are made to the Conservation District Board for final approval.
